Why this element matters

In a processing plant, people often ask for information so they can make a safe and timely decision: a supervisor may ask for a batch number, maintenance may ask which pump is isolated, or a team leader may ask whether a job is complete.

Your role is not just to “answer quickly”. You need to acknowledge the request, check exactly what is needed, find the information from an approved source, then relay it in a way the receiver can use. Doing this well reduces delays, rework, safety risks and misunderstandings, especially in noisy areas or teams with different language backgrounds.
